    Non sono un ferroviere e nemmeno un esperto di treni USA, ma solo un italiano appassionato di treni, quindi potrei sbagliare. Però osservando com'è fatto il telaio dei carrelli di questi vagoni, penso che la sua forma che si estende verso il basso, sia stata scelta proprio perché in caso di deragliamento, la rotaia resta incastrata tra la parte bassa del telaio del carrello e la ruota. In questo modo si impedisce al vagone deragliato di uscire completamente dai binari e così si riduce il rischio che si rovesci e che faccia deragliare altri vagoni.

      The train usually jerks to a stop after little bit of the wheels being off the ground. Too much weight to drag.

    • @2kanchoo
      @2kanchoo 4 місяці тому

      Sometimes you get a bump or yank sensation followed by it getting harder to push or pull. Sometimes you feel nothing and don't know until the air line breaks or in some rare cases go for miles until someone turns it in and the dispatcher tells you to stop. In this case it didn't sound like he went into emergency but so so many cars derailed it would have either brought him to a stop or all of a sudden been beyond noticeably hard to move haha.

    1:24 There's your probable cause. The wheels are changing on damaged rails. Which caused one of them to raise up enough to go off the rail and bring at least 5 others with it This usually happens with bad track condition especially at crossings
